PREVENTING WORKPLACE VIOLENCE / WORKPLACE HARASSMENT

Description:
The psychological and financial costs associated with hostile and unsafe workplaces are astronomical. Moreover, employers are obligated by law to provide workplaces that enable workers to perform their jobs in reasonable and safe work environments. This training process introduces "best practices" for preventing harassment and insecure work environments and specific strategies for ensuring a healthy work culture that is legally compliant.

Learning Objectives:

      1. Define workplace harassment: what it is and is not
      2. Craft a harassment policy
      3. Send zero-tolerance messages regarding harassment
      4. Identify and report claims of discriminatory harassment
      5. Prevent harassment
      6. Clarify organizational obligations
      7. Understand legal requirements using sample case decisions
      8. Define workplace violence
      9. Read the road signs in your work environment: Is it dysfunctional?
      10. Assess your safety and security preparedness
