Making Value Flow says it all. If your materials are just sitting there, they aren’t making your company money. The purpose of an Urgency of Material Flow program is to improve the actual flow of materials by eliminating the waste of inventory (where material sits without moving at all) and the waste of waiting. The primary measure is the velocity of material flow, measured in terms of lead time from customer request to customer satisfaction.
Conducted as a full-day workshop with implementation exercises, this program provides the necessary guidance companies need to decrease their inventory levels. Often, this workshop is followed by a major Kaizen event to identify and tackle key inventory issues.
Topics include: Introduction to Toyota Flow, JIDOKA: Built-In Problem Solving, PDCA: Problem-Solving Cycle, Smoothing Information Flow, Developing a “Line Stop” Culture and more.
