WORKFORCE FLEXIBILITY

The most successful Lean programs will have employees who are effectively cross-trained in order to meet the needs of the organization. The ideal is for each employee to be cross-trained in order to do at least three (3) jobs at the minimum, or up to a maximum of 12 different jobs. 

The primary tool in achieving this is the Multi-Function Worker Training Timetable (MFWTT).  This program effectively weaves together three key HR systems:
