Up and down the supply chain
ISO Certification is required in more and more cases.
Champlain-based Universal Interiors passed their ISO 9001:2015 certification with no findings on May 14, 2019. Universal Interiors manufactures interior mass transit panels and electrical lighting assemblies. The ISO certification will allow them to maintain and grow their client base, keeping strong jobs in the North Country.
CITEC Business Solutions business advisor Kate Chepeleff helped shepherd the process for Universal Interiors. Some key support functions included assisting in risk assessment, internal auditor training, documenting revisions and supplying communication templates to make the process easy to accomplish.
Beyond meeting customer requirements, ISO Certification helps companies improve quality across the entire organization because it involves a close examination of every system. The process fosters improved operational consistency, improved safety, a more professional culture, and better employee morale. All of this translates to deeper customer satisfaction and directly impacts the bottom line.
